Full Job Description
The Hospitality Hostess staff position with Hospital Hospitality House of Saginaw offers the opportunity to serve out-of-town patients and their families by providing safe, clean and affordable lodging during their medical needs.
We are looking to fill an overnight position within our organization. This staff would be responsible to work every other weekend.
Our organization is a 24/7/365 operation. It is imperative all staff is willing and able to work a variety of days and shifts, including holidays, nights and weekends as well as fill-in when staffing requires with very little notice at times.
SHIFTS AND FACILITIES CAN VARY AND WILL INCLUDE NIGHTS, WEEKENDS, AND HOLIDAYS.
New Employees must show proof of vaccination upon acceptance of this position. Masks are required regardless of vaccination status by both staff and guests to assist in the reduced possibility of disease and virus transmission.
Job Duties
Each staff member is expected to provide outstanding customer service, maintain confidentiality and work independently. Shift tasks will include but are not limited to the following:
Front Desk
- Answer the telephone and take room referrals.
- Greet guests upon arrival.
- Complete computer entry of check-in / check-out information.
- Collect, process and record payments.
- Follow and enforce all HHH policies.
Housekeeping
- Clean and disinfect all areas of the facility.
- Prepare guest rooms for incoming patients and/or family members.
- Stock and organize necessary supplies.
- Process laundry, both commercial and in-house items.
Candidate Requirements
- Professional and respectful personality with the ability to work with and assist many different people.
- Ability to remain calm and make appropriate decision(s) during an emergency.
- Strong ability to self-direct and complete tasks without supervision.
- Outstanding attendance and punctuality.
- Flexible availability, (nights, weekends, holidays, call-in coverage).
- Dependable transportation.
- Must be vaccinated.
