  Job Description:

  Asphalt Specialists, LLC is looking for a saw cutter to be part of the team! Concrete/Asphalt cutting jobs involve operating equipment to saw, drill, or score concrete. This job will be outdoor construction work in a non-temperature-controlled environment. Candidates selected must be punctual, responsible, and honest, stand and walk on concrete up to 100% of workday, and must pass a pre-employment and background check. This is a seasonal job.

  Experience and Skills:

  Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Control traffic passing near, in, or around work zones.

• Clean or prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards.

• Read and interpret plans, instructions, and specifications to determine work activities

• Preparation of concrete surfaces using brooms, grinders, or other power equipment

• Operate, read, and maintain concrete cutting equipment such as hand saws and walk behind self-propelled saws

• Able to lift & move 45lbs or more

• Other duties may be assigned by management as needed to meet production needs

  Qualifications:

• Solid experience with concrete sawing, cutting and/or removal

• Must possess a valid chauffeur driver's license and have a good driving history.

• Willing to work in weather conditions that may be adverse (hot/cold/rain)

• Ability to workdays/nights/weekends or out of town if necessary

• Must be able to operate some equipment including but not limited to: Concrete saws, floor grinders, shop vacuums, angle grinders, basic power tools (drills, miter saws, Sawzall).

• Basic math and reading comprehension skills

• Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment

• Ability to read a tape measure

• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch

• Required to adhere to all safety rules and regulations
