Akkodis, Inc. seeks multiple Software Engineer (Multiple Positions) who will be responsible for developing REST APIs using Java, Kotlin and Spring framework. Delivering software leveraging eXtreme Programming, TDD and using cloud technologies like PCF and CI/CD tools like Jenkins. Developing tested code based on proven Lean/Agile methods. Reports to company headquarters in Auburn Hills, MI. Roving employee- will work at various unknown client sites throughout the U.S for up to 100% of the time. Must be willing to travel anywhere in the U.S and may be assigned to work at client sites across the U.S.
Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (any), Computer Science, IT/IS, Operations Management, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Telecommunications, Electrical or Electronics or related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained.
Applicants must also have demonstrated experience with: Object-Oriented development in the following technologies: Java, Kotlin and Springbok/Spring framework; Writing unit and integration tests; eXtreme Programming (XP) practices including Pair/Mob programming and Test-first/Test Driven Development (TDD); Developing and deploying to cloud platforms, such as Google Cloud Platform and Pivotal Cloud Foundry; Spring/SpringBoot and RESTFUL Web services development; SQL databases; and CA Agile Central (Rally), backlogs, iterations, user stories, or similar Agile Tools.
