Description
We are looking for a dedicated Patient Access Specialist to join our team in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. In this Contract position, you will play a key role in ensuring seamless patient registration and intake processes while delivering exceptional customer service. This opportunity offers a dynamic work environment.
Responsibilities:
Facilitate patient registration for emergency room, inpatient, and outpatient services.
Assist patients in navigating technology and provide guidance throughout the intake process.
Maintain accurate and efficient data entry for all patient information.
Ensure compliance with health screenings, including COVID vaccination and flu shot requirements.
Rotate between designated campus locations based on departmental needs.
Collaborate with healthcare staff to address patient concerns and provide solutions.
Manage scheduling adjustments, including fluctuating days off during the week.
Uphold high standards of reliability and initiative in daily tasks.
Support additional departmental responsibilities as assigned.
Deliver outstanding customer service to patients and visitors.
Requirements - Minimum of 1 year of experience in a related role; healthcare experience is preferred.
Demonstrated excellence in customer service skills.
Strong data-entry abilities with a focus on accuracy.
High level of reliability and initiative.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
COVID vaccination, flu shot, and occupational health screening are mandatory.
Willingness to rotate between multiple locations.
