The Gogebic-Ontonagon Intermediate School District is seeking applicants for a School Social Worker. This is a 185-day school year position, with the possibility of additional summer hours.
The individual selected for this position will provide general education and special education social work services to students in the PreK-12 school setting to address social, emotional, mental health, and behavioral needs. Responsibilities will also involve coordinating behavioral support for intensive-needs students, and direct student or group therapy will be conducted per the individual student’s plan of care or IEP. Billing for Medicaid services and utilizing the electronic student database system is a function of this position.
Credentials:
Applicants should have the following certifications in the State of Michigan:
- Licensed Master Level Social Worker (LMSW)
- Temporary or full approval as a School Social Worker
Location: Gogebic & Ontonagon Counties
Compensation: Per the terms of the GOISDEA Master Agreement
