Title: Scheduler
Reports To: Materials Supervisor

Job Summary:
The Scheduler will be responsible for managing the internal scheduling process to support manufacturing operations. The position will review customer requirements, job routings, material availability and work center capacities to create a production schedule. They will also have responsibility to provide feedback to customers on delivery timing.
Essential Functions:
Support the Company's mission, vision, values, and goals in performance of daily activities.
Generate production schedules in coordination with the sales team and production department supervisors
Works directly with Production Supervisors on schedule attainment and addresses any inhibitors to the schedule
Work directly with intercompany locations on requirement processing into the master schedule
Review upcoming materials requirements to ensure no interruption in the schedule either from plant floor concerns or purchased components
Perform capacity analysis, identify potential bottlenecks, and allocate resources accordingly
Prepare daily production reports, create work orders, and jobs to support production plan
Make production delivery commitments to sales team and end customer
Work within our PLEX MRP & ERP system
Interfaces directly with Customer's on negotiating any schedule adjustments
Expedite shipments from suppliers as needed to meet production schedules
Reports directly to the Master Scheduler, interfaces on a frequent basis with all internal and external customers.
Adherence to all company policies and procedures (ex. Employee Handbook)
Maintain a positive working relationship with all levels of the organization
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Understanding of manufacturing processes, workflows, and production planning principles.
Basic knowledge of inventory control, logistics, and material requirements planning (MRP).
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Just-in-Time (JIT) principles is a plus.
Knowledge of quality and safety standards applicable to the manufacturing environment.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
Ability to interpret production reports, schedules, and technical data.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including production, purchasing, quality, and shipping.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and production requirements.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Comfortable working in both office and manufacturing floor environments.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in MLM/Supply Chain Management or related field required.
Experience:
At least 3 years' experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain coordination in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in MRP/scheduling environment preferred.
Background Prerequisites:
- Must undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification, reference checks and controlled substance testing.

Able to remain in sitting position for extended periods while working at a desk or computer.
Occasionally walking throughout the facility to monitor production areas, attend meetings and coordinate with production staff.
Occasional lifting or moving of materials up to 25 pounds.
Frequent use of hands for data entry, typing, handling documents, etc.
