Position Summary
The operations forestry position provides critical leadership and direction for field operations on the ~8500 FIC/Dunbar/Wells Forest complex. The successful candidate will oversee timber harvest layout through harvest completion and assist with all stages of active research projects (design, layout, implementation, maintenance, etc.). As needed, the Operational Forester will assist with outreach events showcasing the Centers ongoing research and demonstration projects. They will interact with the public, onsite vendors, campus-based staff and faculty as well as be the primary point of contact for temporary student laborers working on the FIC.
Minimum Requirements
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year, Bachelor's degree in forestry or a related field; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in forestry management; frequent travel; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Commercial Pesticide Applicators License
