IN THIS ROLE:

WHAT WE NEED:
- Assists programmers and developers in coding, testing, implementing, and maintaining assigned computer software applications.
- Test and debugging software features and functions to ensure they perform as expected.
- Assumes responsibility for provisioning permissions and user roles for and across connected software applications.
- Strong skills in responding to data and information requests, with the ability to create customized reports, as necessary.
- Proficiency in writing and maintaining documentation for program development logic, coding processes, testing, changes, corrections, and deployments.
- Provide first-level technical support for assigned computer software applications.
WHAT YOU NEED:
- Associates degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field and a minimum of one year of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired.
- Basic programming experience, understanding programming backlogs, source code management, and reading/ executing on product programming requirements.
- Knowledge of basic coding languages including, HTML5, PHP, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity of databases, import/exporting data best practices, and data validation.

This position is eligible to participate in the Flexible Work Program, which allows eligible employees to perform their job duties from a designated alternative location up to two days per week.
SALARY DETAILS:
$59,666 - $69,195 salary based on relevant prior work experience, with the potential to earn up to $74,513 after employment with Oakland Schools.
Exempt position / 12-month work year.
Please note that salary schedules will be updated effective July 1, 2025, for the upcoming fiscal year.
