Description
We are looking for a skilled Cyber Security Analyst to join our team in Auburn Hills, Michigan. This is a long-term contract position within the automotive industry, offering an opportunity to contribute to organizational security efforts and gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in cybersecurity principles and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing security challenges.
Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver monthly security awareness communications and training programs using curated information from reputable sources.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including security policies, compliance, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and incident response playbooks.
Monitor and analyze alerts from various security platforms to identify and assess potential threats or anomalies.
Assist in triaging security events and escalate findings to appropriate team members for further investigation.
Participate in incident response activities such as note-taking, evidence collection, and documenting outcomes for analysis.
Collaborate with team members to communicate findings and provide actionable recommendations.
Support user awareness initiatives, including phishing simulations and campaigns to promote cybersecurity best practices.
Contribute to the enhancement of security controls and procedures by identifying gaps and proposing improvements.
Perform additional tasks as needed to support the organization's cybersecurity program and objectives.
Requirements
Associates or Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience and certifications.
Familiarity with both Windows and Linux operating systems.
Solid understanding of networking protocols, authentication methods, and basic security principles.
Awareness of modern cybersecurity threats and attack methods, such as phishing and malware.
Strong attention to detail and excellent documentation skills.
Ability to follow structured processes and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or equivalent are highly desirable.
Experience with cloud technologies, endpoint security tools, firewall technologies, and basic network troubleshooting.
