Description We are looking for a dedicated Payroll Administrator to join our team in Birmingham, Michigan. This role is essential in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with local and federal regulations. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in full-cycle payroll management and a strong understanding of payroll systems and tax regulations.
Responsibilities:
Process bi-monthly payroll accurately and on schedule for employees, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Manage full-cycle payroll operations, including new hires, terminations, and employee status changes.
Maintain and update payroll systems, such as ADP and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, to ensure data accuracy.
Calculate and process payroll taxes, including local payroll taxes, and ensure timely remittance.
Handle Canadian payroll processes, ensuring compliance with regional requirements.
Conduct regular audits of payroll data to identify and resolve discrepancies.
Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and tax forms in a timely and meticulous manner.
Prepare and submit payroll reports to management and external agencies as required.
Stay informed on changes to payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to streamline payroll-related processes. Requirements - Proven experience in full-cycle payroll processing, including bi-monthly payroll.
Proficiency in payroll systems such as ADP and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne.
Strong understanding of payroll tax laws, including local payroll tax regulations.
Experience managing Canadian payroll processes is highly desirable.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve payroll discrepancies.
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with employees and team members.
