Solo World Partners LLC has an opening for a Supply Chain Director at 13725 Pennsylvania Road, Riverview, MI 48193 40 hrs/wk. 9am - 5pm. M-F.
Responsibilities: Responsible for material planning, transportation and logistics, inventory management, pricing, and ensuring compliance with both domestic and international tax regulations, exemplified by FTZ (Foreign-Trade Zones) in the United States and IMMEX (Maquiladora) programs in Mexico; develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies aligned with overall business objectives; conduct regular supply chain performance reviews and identify areas for improvement; monitor industry trends and market conditions to anticipate potential disruptions; ensure timely delivery of materials and components to meet production demands; optimize inventory levels to balance supply and demand, minimizing costs and reducing stockouts; develop robust demand forecasting models to drive accurate planning; manage relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and conditions; oversee international logistics operations, including transportation, customs clearance, and warehousing; negotiate contracts with transportation providers to secure cost-effective solutions; identify and mitigate risks associated with international trade, such as tariffs, quotas, and supply chain disruptions; ensure compliance with domestic and international trade regulations, including customs laws, tax regulations, and import/export controls; develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential supply chain disruptions and protect the company's assets; collaborate with sales, quality, engineering, and other departments to ensure seamless supply chain operations; and provide support to sales teams in negotiations and long-term agreements. The above duties require using ERP systems utilized in the heavy truck industry, such as Oracle, SAP, and OneNetwork.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Logistics or Supply Chain Management or foreign degree equivalent, plus 3 years of experience as a Management Consultant in Supply Chain Management and/or Supply Chain Analyst and/or Supply Chain Manager. Experience must include: Material planning; logistics; supply chain; procurement; inventory management and ERP systems utilized in the heavy truck industry, such as Oracle, SAP, and OneNetwork.
