JOB DESCRIPTION: Provide maintenance, repair, and diagnostic services for gas and diesel vehicles and equipment to include but are not limited to engine services, brake service, engine diagnosis, inspections, cooling system service, etc., included scheduled services and repairs, break down response, DOT inspections, PM services.
JOB DUTIES:
- Perform instructed and scheduled repair, maintenance, and services as needed on various vehicles and equipment. Maintain tool collection and all necessary paperwork daily (candidate to provide own tools)
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety standards
JOB REQUIREMENTS- Minimum 3 years experience with diesel truck and trailer repair, maintenance, and diagnostics
- Minimum DOT Inspection Certified and Air Brake Certified (additional schooling and certifications preferred)
- Must be able to provide sufficient tool inventory to perform job duties
- Physical requirements include standing, bending, lifting (50+ lb), and sitting for long periods of time in varied temperatures and weather conditions
- Must have a clean DMV printout -- No moving violations
- Valid Michigan Driver's License
- High attendance and punctuality requirement
- Flexible working on all Makes, Models, and types of repairs, which will include repairs, oil changes, part runs, and shop clean
- Neat, legible handwriting helpful.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Welding experience
- Class A or B license with tanker air brake endorsement
HOURS: Monday thru Friday 2:00 PM -- 10:00 PM with possible weekends and overtime
