Sr. Mechanical Engineer to support the integration of engine hardware and subsystems for the Combat Vehicle business unit. In this role, our Sr. Mechanical Engineer will integrate diesel engines and related systems (exhaust, intake, fuel, and some drivetrain components). Primary focus will be to support M88 HERCULES powertrain. Responsible for weight, cost, and performance of these subsystems and assist in trade studies relating to these components. Mechanical Engineering Degree REQUIRED. The Sr. Mechanical Engineer will either perform or direct designers to complete the technical data package for assigned components. In general, expectations include development of product specifications, CAD models, technical data packages, technical presentations, and support towards integration and verification procedures.

Provides input and status to project leaders on technical content, cost, schedule, and workload requirements.
Develop and maintain effective relationships with customers to resolve technical problems and implement solutions. Required education: Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering, plus 5 years relevant experience. Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: * Proven ability to solve moderately complex technical design and development problems that require a professional level of engineering knowledge related to diesel engines * Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with customers to solve moderately complex technical problems * Must have excellent technical, interpersonal, written/verbal communication skills * Familiar with air cooled engine systems * Experience with qualification testing * Hands-on work integrating and troubleshooting related hardware * Ability to use MS Office and Project for project documentation * Experience integrating Mechanical Fuel Injection systems Preferred Skills and Education
