This position has a pay rate of $44,700 annually

Provide support services for the Transitional Foster Care (TFC) program.
Duties and Responsibilities
Respond immediately to referral/intake calls from contractor
Coordinate placements with designated shelter staff or foster parents by contacting them to arrange for placement. Track all referral and placements
Develop and maintain the on call/intake schedule and assignments of intakes in coordination with the program supervisor
Complete the required program data sheets and submit to the appropriate individuals within the required timeframe
Coordinate discharges of youth with the assigned team and sponsor. Prepare the discharge packet and give to the identified travel escort
Make travel arrangements in a cost efficient manner by following Samaritas policies
Identify the travel escort by utilizing the Samaritas procedures
Provide oversight, leadership and train travel escorts
Track the sponsor's payments and refunds for each youth's travel
Job Qualifications
Education, Training, and Licensure/Certification
High School Diploma or equivalent
Bachelor's degree in human services related field preferred
Experience
Three years of progressively responsible office experience
Knowledge of and experience working with refugee or immigrant children preferred
Travel coordination experience preferred
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Ability to be on-call 24/7 to respond to intakes
Understanding of the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the individuals served
Ability to work constructively with staff, clients and referral/funding source
Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, to compute payments and refunds
Ability to effectively speak, read and write English language; ability to prepare business letters, summaries and reports using prescribed format and conforming to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction and style. Bi-lingual skills in Spanish-English preferred
Detail orientated with strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently and cooperatively
Ability to effectively utilize various computer programs, proficiency in Microsoft office applications
Ability to maintain confidentiality with personnel and client information
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to read, speak and write English using proper grammar, diction and style. Ability to communicate expectations clearly and professionally, and to effectively utilize a teamwork approach with staff of all levels
Strong leadership skills, with ability to provide direction and guidance to staff
Understands and follows instructions
