Description We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team in Warren, Michigan. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial accounting processes, conducting tax engagements, and delivering exceptional services to a diverse client base. This position offers opportunities to collaborate with clients across various industries, enhancing your growth and expertise.
Responsibilities:
Handle various phases of financial accounting and tax engagements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Prepare compilations, reviews, and financial statements with precision.
Manage corporate, partnership, and personal tax assignments efficiently.
Collaborate directly with clients to provide tailored accounting and tax services.
Generate monthly and annual financial statements and reports.
Post entries and adjustments to the general ledger accurately.
Perform reconciliations of general ledger accounts to maintain data integrity.
Assist in corporate and individual tax preparation processes.
Engage with staff at all levels to foster development.
Work with clients from diverse industries such as healthcare, construction, manufacturing, and hospitality. Requirements - 2-5 years of experience in accounting or tax, preferably within public accounting.
Bachelor's degree in accounting or a Master's degree in accounting or taxation.
Proficiency with Accounting CS and UltraTax software is essential.
Familiarity with TaxDome practice management software and QuickBooks is required.
Strong skills in financial report writing and balance sheet analysis.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
Certifications such as CPA or CMA are preferred but not mandatory.
