We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Operational Pricing Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial executing pricing strategies that optimizes revenue, profitability and market share. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of pricing principles, excellent analytical skills, a proven ability to collaborate effectively across departments and lead, motivate and develop a highly talented team.
Job Summary:
The Operational Pricing Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of pricing activities, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. This includes implement pricing models and recommended pricing adjustments. This role requires a hands-on approach, working closely with the Strategic Pricing team and the Pricing Director to ensure effective pricing execution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Implement pricing strategies and models for various product lines, considering market dynamics, competitive landscape and cost structure
Utilize SAP to update and maintain price information, manage and maintain pricing databases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity
Develop and maintain pricing documentation, including pricing policies and procedures
Ensure compliance with pricing regulations and company policies
Support the development of pricing tools and automation initiatives
Collaborate with IT to implement and maintain pricing systems
Participate in cross-functional projects related to pricing and revenue management
Verify analysis to achieve targeted price change
Fill out individual customer templates for price changes
Direct manage team on loading of base and/or customer specific pricing and effective dates
Manage mechanics of pricing holds vs current price for major accounts being held past effective date
Provide quotes and suggested prices for bulk buys, government bids and Co-Man special accounts
Review and reset existing customer specific quotes and /or discounts
Maintain customer acquisition files by product line: pricing and rebates
Provide regular reports on pricing performance, trends, and potential areas for improvement
Work closely with product management, sales, and finance teams to align pricing strategies with product launches, promotional campaigns, and inventory management
Continuously seek opportunities to enhance pricing tools, processes, and systems to improve efficiency, accuracy, and profitability
Manage, motivate and develop a team of 4 direct reports
Minimum Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
Experience:
5+ years experience in pricing, finance or a related field, with a focus on operational pricing execution
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze large datasets and draw meaningful discussions
Strong knowledge of SAP, including pricing modules and functionalities
Proficiency in Excel and other data analysis tools. Experience with pricing management software is a plus
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
