Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Responsibilities:
Manage month-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Prepare and post adjusting journal entries to maintain proper account balances.
Reconcile complex accounts and resolve discrepancies to ensure accuracy.
Compile and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
Conduct monthly variance analyses to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Assist in the development of financial forecasts and budgets, providing actionable insights.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
Utilize advanced Excel functions to analyze large datasets and create financial models.
Apply expertise in industry-specific software to support client needs and deliver high-quality results. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and complex formulas.
Experience in industries such as automotive, manufacturing, healthcare, or non-profit is highly valued.
Familiarity with large enterprise accounting systems, such as Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.
Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
Ability to adapt quickly to new software and industry practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
CPA certification is preferred but not required.
