The Work:
In this role, the Payroll Tax Compliance & Reporting Analyst is responsible for payroll tax regulatory requirements and reconciliation by working closely with various individuals across multiple organizations to ensure its completed timely accurately. This role will cover US Payroll. You will focus on any of the following Shared Services disciplines: payroll, tax support, system applications, employee service center and HRIS, etc. Liaison with multiple vendors supporting payroll activities.
Work closely with various payroll tax vendors to ensure Federal, State Local payroll tax filings are submitted timely and correctly
Handle online payroll tax registrations required by State, SUI and Local agencies including POAs, TPAs, etc.
Coordinate with Unemployment Vendor to ensure POA's and required access to SUI agencies are up to date
Assist with various payroll tax audits including SOX, PWC, Internal Audit and Government Agencies
Respond to inquiries requests from business, finance and tax officers of the company
Process manual check requests and journal entries in SAP
Reconcile & Research payroll tax ledger including refunds due from government agencies
Business & Finance Teams Globally: Analyze & resolve ledger inquiries, handle g/l mapping issues and process vendor payments/reporting for US & Int'l Assignee payroll
Support research required to resolve employee tax set up issues in Workday Payroll
Manage cases for payroll tax & accounting in Service Now
Provide support for tax related inquiries from employees
Participate in year-end activities
Assist with year-end payroll tax activities for US, Canada, Puerto Rico & Guam
Reconcile year-end tax documents with guidance from team lead
Ensure timely and accurate W2 preparation at year end with guidance from team lead
What You Need:
- Minimum 2 years in Payroll or Payroll Accounting is required
Bonus Points, if:
Knowledge of Workday Payroll/Taxation for US, Canada & Puerto Rico
Knowledge of SAP or equivalent Accounting Applications
Strong Excel skills required - handle large worksheets, pivot tables, V Look-up, etc.
FPC preferred by end of 2nd year of employment
Strong integrity, professionalism, communication, and accountability
Ability to work independently, take ownership and manage ongoing responsibilities
Multitask & perform under high pressure environment
Proven experience in HR Shared Services
Experience working in a fast-changing environment
Associate or College degree preferred
