GENERAL PURPOSE
An Operations Technician 2 is part of our pay for skills program and allows individuals to continue to build skills providing opportunity to increase their compensation. Individuals at Level 2 have accumulated 3-4 skill blocks. Skill blocks may include skills in Assembly, Machine Operation or Material Handling.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Individuals with Machine Operation skills operate specialty machinery to fabricate, manufacture, assemble or move productsmeeting all necessary specifications and quality control standards.
Maintains and monitors machinery to ensure proper function.
Performs multiple processes using a variety of equipment in a manufacturing setting, dependent upon the department processes.
Produces a high-quality product delivered in a timely manner to satisfy customers.
Solves problems with the assistance of otherteam members and seeks continuous improvement.
The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits toensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.
Required to learn additional functions through cross-training in otherdepartments.
Ability to communicate effectively
Regular and predictable attendance based on scheduled hours.
Rotates through the department work stations based on business need.
Works overtime as needed.
Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience
One of the following is required: (1) High school diploma or its equivalent (GED for example), (2) work experience whichdemonstrates performance competency.
Machine Operation Skills and Abilities:
Competent in basic math skills such as counting, adding, and subtracting.
Preferred advanced math skills related to ability to operate advanced systems or processes such as GDT (Geometric DimensionalTolerances).
Ability to use required measuring tools such as calipers, gauges, tape measure, etc.
Ability to work cooperatively within the team as well as with members of other teams to meet goals.
Demonstrated willingness to adapt to a continually changing environment and influence others.
Required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms for the duration of the shift.
Ability to regularly lift and move up to 10 lbs, frequently lift and move up to 25 lbs, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 lbs.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjustfocus.
Required to talk and to be able to hear and see with or without correction.
