JOB TITLE: Military Tester
PLANT/DEPARTMENT: Iron River Military Assembly
IMPORTANT WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: Perform diverse testing on intricate and /or large apparatus, machines or equipment following specific test procedures. Must have thorough knowledge of hydraulics as well as experience with mechanical and electrical systems such as reading schematics and wiring. Comfortably test and troubleshoot hydraulic and/or electrical systems. Work from complicated assembly drawings and specifications. Use a variety of precision measuring instruments and gauging devices. Work requires skill and assembling techniques, plus experience and a knowledge of design and basic mechanical principles. Must be able to work safely and efficiently in a dynamic environment. Must be willing to travel when necessary.
MAJOR DUTIES:
Adhere to all safety protocol and procedures.
Knowledge of Assembly Procedures, Processes, & Techniques such as Backlash and Endplay
Crane Operations and Rigging
Perform Quality Checks throughout Process
Set-up and Operate Test Towers
Basic understanding of Electrical Applications and hook-ups
Set-up, Tear-Down, and Storage of Test Fixtures
Complete Final Assembly Tests and Floor Testing (includes filling out Test Procedures)
Basic Hydraulic Applications and Procedures
Document Procedures and Make Improvements when Applicable
Ensure all test procedures adhere to approved specifications from Quality Control, DCMA, Source Inspections, Etc.
Manage oil and lubrication levels
Responsible for Hydraulic Pressure Unit (HPU) functions such as flow and pressures during testing.
Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE PREFERRED/SPECIAL NOTES:
Basic Blueprint, Basic Math and Basic Measuring Devices
Crane Operations and Rigging
Excellent Communication skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to Lift, Push or Pull 50 lbs.
Long periods of standing, bending or crouching
