Candidates will need to demonstrate proficiency in ammonia systems and ability to perform required duties within the regulatory agencies (OSHA/EPA), IIAR, and Tyson standards. The ability to effectively communicate with members of management, engineering, operations/production, and contractors is fundamental to being successful to this role. Mechanical troubleshooting, ammonia refrigeration service experience, ability to multi-task, and self-motivation are required to be successful in this position.\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities \n\n * Perform and complete operations, preventative maintenance, and repairs of plant ammonia refrigeration systems including but not limited to:\n\n * Involvement with Ammonia related Projects\n\n * Ammonia evacuations/pump outs\n * Prepare and execute job specific pump out procedures\n * PSM - Involvement and documentation\n * Equipment Commissioning\n\n * Compressor Maintenance\n\n * Shaft seal replacements\n * Motor alignments\n * Rebuilds\n * Level 1 and IIAR Inspections\n * Transducer Calibrations\n * Slide Valve Calibrations\n\n * RMAU's\n\n * Understand Functionality and controls\n * Valve train and control valve troubleshooting\n * Gas burner operations and safety circuits\n\n * Ammonia Liquid Pumps\n\n * Shaft seal replacements\n * Oiler and bearing housing rebuild\n * Ability to service both Cornell CB and HT style pumps\n\n * Purger rebuilds and troubleshooting\n * Receive Ammonia Deliveries\n * Oil Removal\n * Safety Relief Valve Change outs\n * Rebuild Parker RS and Danfoss Ammonia Valve stations\n * Electrical and Controls Troubleshooting\n\n * Train and assist general Utility Technicians\n * Read and understand equipment P&ID's and applicable blueprints.\n * Perform all duties in accordance with OSHA - IIAR regulations.\n * Timely repair of plant ammonia equipment/systems with precision maintenance techniques as necessary to meet production rates and maintenance downtime goals.\n * Data entry daily into current CMMS system including preventative maintenance records, inspections, and stock replacement parts used.\n * Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, including all safety protocols and company policies.\n * Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.\n\nQualifications\n\n * Ability to interpret schematics and blueprints during troubleshooting.\n * Proficient in the use of hand and power tools.\n * Ability to work in a team environment.\n * Ability to self-motivate and work independently.\n * Comfortable operating at high elevations\n * Ability to lift or move 75 pounds.\n * Ability to withstand changing environments.\n * Ability to operate an aerial lift and sit-down forklift.\n * Basic computer skills required.\n * Ability to pass a physical and fit testing requirements for full face respirator use.\n\nEducation\n\n * High school diploma, Associates degree or equivalent certifications in Refrigeration/Mechanical field are preferred.\n\n * IIAR Ammonia Refrigeration training Preferred.\n * RETA/CIRO/CRST/CRES - License Preferred\n * EPA TYPE Universal License Preferred\n\nExperience\n\n * 5 + years industrial ammonia refrigeration experience required.\n * Proficient experience with Microsoft based software, such as Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.\n * Experience with SAP systems is preferred.\n\nSchedule \n\n * Ability to work variable shifts, weekends, and/or holidays.\n * 1st shift 5:00AM - 5:00PM\n\nRotating flex schedule as seen below:\n\nSunday- WORK\n\nMonday-WORK\n\nTuesday-OFF\n\nWednesday-OFF\n\nThursday-WORK\n\nFriday-WORK\n\nSaturday-OFF\n\nSunday- OFF\n\nMonday-OFF\n\nTuesday-WORK\n\nWednesday-WORK\n\nThursday-OFF\n\nFriday-OFF\n\nSaturday-WORK\n\nTravel Requirements \n\n * Approximately one to two weeks travel per year for technical and safety training.\n\nRelocation \n\n * We offer comprehensive relocation assistance to qualified candidates.
