Must meet all qualifications for machine operator. The Production Technician insures that all Aludyne policies and procedures are being followed as written. Support production needs to meet safety, quality, and delivery standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Actively work to reduce operational downtime
• Participate in scrap reduction efforts
• Ability to escalate production needs to ancillary departments when necessary
• Perform and document OPM and TPMs
• Enter work orders to correct safety and/or maintenance issues
• Conduct purges according to procedures to contain bad parts
• Understand and apply CMM readouts, blueprints and gage reports
• Use gages and instruments to check parts and tooling
• Program editing
• Set up and operate CNC machines, robots, dials, transfer lines or other machines
• Change inserts, drills, and perform basic tool setup using the Zoller machine
• Train machine operators on the functions of their machines and plant procedures
• Enter scrap and production data into computer systems
• Understanding basic machine controls and the ability to troubleshoot and recover CNC machines and automated robots
• Performing machine setup – sweeping offsets, zeroing axis, setting orient and 2nd reference, etc.
• Required to follow any other instructions and to perform any other duties upon request of the supervisor
• Complies with the following OSHA Safety Standards: Hazard Communication; Bloodborne Pathogens; Lockout; Permit Required Confined Space; Hot Work Permit; Powered Industrial Trucks; P.P.E. and Ergonomics
• When necessary, participate in classes and training seminars to learn new technologies and techniques deemed helpful to performance on the job
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
• Works in a fast-paced environment under minimum supervision. Routine responsibilities and duties involve the use of various procedures and the application of clearly prescribed standards of practice, requiring the use of good judgment. Must work with a high degree of accuracy.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• The job works in conditions with frequent exposure to loud noise, heavy lifting, heavy overhead lifting, heavy machinery and sharp tools.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Standing 70% -80% of the time; walking
• Bending, crouching, twisting and reaching required
• The person in this environment with multiple priorities. There is no travel required to fulfill this position.
