Terms of Employment: $40,000- $47,000 benefits and schedule as established by the Montcalm Area Intermediate School District Board of Education
Job Summary:
The Special Projects Coordinator for the Special Education Department is responsible for managing and coordinating special projects, initiatives, and department-wide activities. The role focuses on planning, executing, and monitoring special projects that are crucial to the department's growth and integration across Montcalm Area Intermediate School District. The Special Projects Coordinator will work cross-functionally with teams within and outside the department, ensuring effective project execution and alignment with department goals.

Performance Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and monitor the progress of special projects as directed by the Special Education Associate Superintendent.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and
- Track project milestones, ensuring deadlines are met, and objectives are
- Coordinate tasks and activities between teams and departments within the ISD to ensure cohesive project delivery.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and manage changes to project scope as
- Organize department-wide events, workshops, and training
- Ensure seamless logistics, including venue arrangements, scheduling, and communication with
- Coordinate special education events involving other departments and external
- Manage and update the Special Education Department’s intranet, ensuring that it serves as a useful resource for staff.
- Collaborate with the Communications team to create and maintain project-related
- Assist in developing and documenting efficient processes for the department to enhance operational efficiency.
- Work on system integration and improvements that support the overall functioning of the department, including collaboration with IT and other technical teams.
- Foster integration with other departments in the ISD, ensuring that cross-departmental projects are successfully coordinated and delivered and act as the liaison between Special Education and other departments to ensure proper alignment on joint initiatives.
- Track project budgets, ensuring resources are used efficiently and within approved
- Provide regular updates to the department administration on project budgets and resource
- Manage and support special initiatives related to legal compliance and reporting specific to ISD
