Our client, a leader in logistics solutions, is seeking a Logistics Specialist to join their team. As a Specialist you will be part of the operations team supporting efficient transportation services. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully with the organization.
Job Title: Logistics Specialist
Location: Southfield, MI
Pay Range: $18-$24/hr
Shift: M-F 8am-5pm
What's the Job?
Maintain computerized dispatch systems: Input orders, update shipments, and retrieve missing data.
Notify customers or operations managers about shipment statuses and escalate deviations.
Monitor daily pickups and deliveries to ensure timeliness and condition of loads.
Take check calls from drivers and validate load data before marking deliveries for accounting.
Schedule, coordinate, and monitor drivers and equipment for safe and efficient operations.
What's Needed?
1-2 years of logistics experience.
General knowledge of the transportation industry.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to follow written, verbal, or diagram instructions using common sense.
