Job Title: Administrative Assistant
Reports To: Management Staff
Shift: Monday - Thursday 8am - 4:30pm, Friday 8am – 3pm
(Typical Work Week – Must Be Able to Stay Late If Necessary)
As our Administrative Assistant, you will assist the Lansing Forge team in general office and reception activities that allows the business to complete daily activities.
Every day, you will utilize the Microsoft Office Suite, complete shipping and receiving paperwork and complete order entries.
To be successful in this position, you must be able to work in a team centered environment and have the ability to analyze situations that may arise and react in a timely manner.
The Industrial Blacksmithing Co., got its start in 1956 as a supplier of hand-crafted tongs to forging plants across the United States. In 1978 the company was purchased by Dennis Mosholder, who had nearly 20 years of experience in the hand tool industry. He applied his knowledge of the markets and processes, and Industrial Blacksmithing began to grow. By 1990, the company had reached well beyond its forging tong core and the Industrial Blacksmithing name no longer seemed to fit. The company was then re-named Lansing Forge, Inc.
Lansing Forge, Inc. is now a leader in the hand tool industry, producing high quality forged tools for the U.S. Military, Marine, Construction, Plumbing, Mining, Oil & Gas, Agriculture & Automotive industries. All items are produced in the US with US made steel by dedicated and hardworking employees.
In a typical day you might:
- Perform General Reception Activities: Phone Calls, Email Correspondence.
- Complete Order Entry and Invoicing.
- Complete Shipping and Receiving Paperwork, Including Accounts Receivables.
- Perform General Posting and Filling of Documentation.

Qualification/Education/Experience:
- Have a general knowledge of ISO - Preferred
- Must have a minimum of High School Degree/GED
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
