Job Description:
We are seeking a Detail-Oriented Sheet Metal Assembler to join our manufacturing team in Burton, Michigan. The Sheet Metal Assembler will be responsible for fabricating, assembling and installing sheet metal components for custom HVAC air handling units. This role requires precision, a commitment to safety, the ability to collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and high-quality production and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Responsibilities:
Fabricate, assemble and install sheet metal parts and components for HVAC air handling units.
Must be proficient with CNC machines, Industrial Band Saws, Hydraulic Shears and Brakes, typical metal working hand tools and their safe use and maintenance.
Interface with production manager daily for assignment of tasks and goals.
Maintain factory equipment and tools.
Detailed oriented and eye for proper fit and finish.
Confidently operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, and aerial lifts.
Maintain clean and safe work environment, adhering to company safety policies and procedures.
Document work completed and report any issues to supervisors/management.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Requirements:
Experience in sheet metal fabrication or assembly, preferably in a manufacturing or HVAC setting.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Excellent teamwork and communications skills.
Ability to lift and maneuver heavy materials (up to 50 lbs).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
