Engineer, design, and release high voltage (HV) wiring harnesses for Rechargeable Energy Storage Systems (RESS), and low voltage (LV) wiring harnesses for 12V battery and engine compartment, and package wiring harnesses and subcomponents including connectors, terminals, clips, and coverings, for passenger vehicles, using Siemens NX, Teamcenter, Vismockup, and Engineering Change Management (ECM) tools. Collaborate with internal/OEM Designers to define and package battery wiring harness routings in passenger vehicle engine compartment, RESS, and retention/covering components. Required travel ~50 days per year to OEM Technical Center (Warren, MI) and 10 days per year to vehicle assembly plants in U.S./Canada to review engineering changes, quality issues, cable industrialization, and launch timing; and up to 24 days per year to AK Juarez Mexico plant (MEX) for first piece signoff and assembly board reviews, for total annual travel up to 84 days per year (equal to ~23% annual travel). Bachelor, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related. Thirty-six months’ experience as Engineer or related, designing and releasing wiring harness, and packaging wiring harness and subcomponents including connectors, terminals, and coverings, for passenger vehicle, using Siemens NX and Vismockup tools, or related.
