Job Purpose and Overview
The Manager, Organizational Change Management (OCM) will play a pivotal role in ensuring Dawn North America meets its transformational objectives and strategic goals. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Strategy Implementation, this role will collaborate with team members across North America.
The OCM Manager will lead the planning and execution of change management efforts for key initiatives and projects, enabling Dawn North America to achieve its business objectives. This role will partner with project sponsors, managers, and key stakeholders to oversee and guide change management activities, ensuring excellence in execution and full adoption of critical changes. This role will also enhance OCM effectiveness across Dawn Foods North America by continuously improving OCM methods and tools and coaching embedded change partners to improve change management effectiveness.
Work Setting & Travel Requirements:This is a hybrid position based out of our Home Office in Jackson, MI, with up to up to 20% travel. To be considered for this role, candidates must reside within a commutable distance to the Jackson office.
What will you do as an Organizational Change Manager at Dawn Foods?
Execute Change Management for Key Initiatives & Projects
Develop and implement strategies and plans to manage change, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
Evaluate the impact of proposed changes on processes, systems, and team members.
Identify and engage stakeholders to ensure buy-in and address concerns.
Develop and launch communication plans to inform and prepare the organization for upcoming changes, including crafting messages and selecting appropriate communication channels.
Design and implement training programs and support resources to help team members adapt to new processes, systems, or roles.
Oversee the execution of change initiatives, ensuring changes are implemented according to plan and addressing any issues that arise.
Track progress of change initiatives, measure their effectiveness, and make adjustments as needed.
Identify potential risks associated with changes and develop mitigation plans to minimize negative impacts.
Lead and Coach North America Change Partners
Lead monthly network meetings to share OCM strategies, approaches, and best practices.
Promote and reinforce the use of Dawn's OCM toolkit.
Share best practices and consult with teams to improve change management effectiveness and adoption.
Provide individualized coaching to change partners to enhance the effectiveness and adoption of their change initiatives.
Improve Effectiveness of Dawn OCM Methods & Tools
Capture lessons learned from change efforts across Dawn Foods to pinpoint strengths, areas for improvement, and share these insights for future efforts.
Maintain and continuously improve change management standards, processes, and toolkit.
Offer continuous learning opportunities to strengthen OCM capabilities of sponsors, project managers, and change partners.
Onboard external consultants and vendors to Dawn's OCM standards and tools.
What Does It Take to be an Organizational Change Manager at Dawn Foods?
Below are the minimum qualifications to be a fit for this job.
A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Psychology, Organizational Development, or another related field is required.
A Master's degree is preferred.
A minimum of 8 years of progressive professional experience is required. This experience must include:
A least 5 years' experience in change management or a related role, with a track record of managing change initiatives.
A least 3 years' experience managing personnel, serving in a lead role, or possessing equivalent training/experience that cultivates these skills.
Certification or other professional training in Organizational Change Management.
Prosci Certification is preferred.
Food, Manufacturing, or Distribution Industry experience preferred.
Comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of change management practice, principles, and execution.
Ability to listen, build rapport, and build credibility as a strategic partner within the North American business, as well as with leadership.
Build effective relationships and partnerships across the organization.
Strong collaboration skills and ability to influence others.
Leads by example, mentoring, and motivating people around you.
Consistently asks for and applies feedback and confidently provides direct feedback leveraging a constructive and collaborative approach.
Up to 20% travel.
