Description We are looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial strategy and operations of our organization in Canton, Michigan. This role involves leadership in corporate accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and the establishment of effective internal control frameworks. The ideal candidate will also oversee risk management, financial planning, and compliance to ensure the organization's fiscal health and growth.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all financial and accounting functions across multiple branches and entities.
Lead the preparation of budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analyses.
Ensure the timely preparation and publication of monthly financial statements.
Manage the annual audit process and prepare required documentation.
Analyze financial performance, identify risks, and drive strategic planning.
Supervise accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
Direct the preparation of regulatory reports and ensure compliance with technical accounting standards.
Support the month-end and year-end close processes with precision and accuracy.
Design and implement internal control policies to maintain strong financial governance.
Oversee compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax filings. Requirements - Proven experience as a CFO, Finance Director, or in a similar leadership role.
Over 10 years of combined experience in accounting and finance.
Advanced degree in Finance or Accounting is required.
Certifications such as CPA or CFA are highly preferred.
Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and forecasting.
Demonstrated expertise in creating financial statements and managing general ledger functions.
Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems administration.
Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to financial operations.
