We are seeking a skilled and experienced lead trailer mechanic and part time service writing to join our team. As a trailer mechanic, you will be responsible for performing maintenance,repairs, and inspections on trailers to ensure their safe and efficient operation. This is hands-on role that requires strong technical knowledge and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
-Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations and brake inspections
-Conduct thorough inspections of trailers to identify any potential issues or safety concerns
- Repair or replace damaged parts or components using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
-Align and balance wheels to ensure proper vehicle performance
-Fabricate or modify parts as needed to complete repairs or improve functionality
-Test repaired trailers to verify proper operation and performace
-Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed
Qualifications
-HD Brake Certification
-Proven experience as a trailer mechanic or similar role
-Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair techniques
-Proficiency in diagnosing and toubleshooting mechanical issues
-Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schmatics
-Proficient in welding and fabrication techniques
