Job Title: Build Technician
Organization: Forma-Kool Manufacturing
Location: Chesterfield, MI
Requirements:
Experience with power tools and using a tape measure. Able to measure wood materials and cut using different types of saws.
Description:
- Once trained, construct insulated walk-in cooler / freezerreplacement components such as doors, floors, and panels.
- Read written specifications to determine sizes, material, required equipment, and operations sequences for doors and panels to be built.
- Verify dimensions and contours of panels during sheet metal forming processes, using measuring devices.
- Set up, operate, and adjust a variety of woodworking and metal working tools / machines to cut and shape sections & parts according to specifications.
- Tools and machines used include:
- Bandsaws, planers, routers, drill & punch presses, power brakes and shears to fabricate panels.
- Drill, countersink, and ream holes in parts and assemblies for bolts, screws, and other fasteners, using power tools.
- Fit, fasten, and assemble wood and metal parts together to form panels and doors using staples, screws, bolts, and other fasteners.
- Inspect and assemble products to verify conformance to specifications prior to crating for shipment.
Required
- Able to use a tape measure.
- Basic understanding and use of power and hand tools.
- Basic math skills
- Ability to be on time.
- Able to work in a team environment.
- Able to lift approx. up to 50 (doors and wall panels require lifting during and after completion).
Preferred
- Knowledge of basic construction and/or sheet metal work.
- Use of hand and power tools.
