The Department also maintains more than 200 miles of state highways throughout Calhoun County on a contract bases. The Road Department's primary responsibility is to provide reasonably safe roads through construction and maintenance. Our operations include snow removal, pothole patching, seal coating, traffic signals, road signs, bridges, culverts, dust control on gravel roads, roadside moving, pavement marking, guard rail and various other road related work.
