Job Details

Coordinate all purchasing activities between suppliers and internal staff (i.e., Strategic Purchasing, Program Managers, Supplier Quality Development and/or other divisional designates). Organize activities related to the Purchasing Operations function with the objective of optimizing the total cost of purchases, while supporting strategic sourcing in selecting the optimal capable source to support the program in all areas. Distribute and follow up on all RFQ’s, as per the Global Purchasing Process. Analyze quotes from suppliers & costs from potential suppliers to prepare for management review. Prepare all quote and detail data to analyze a make/buy divisional decision. Assist in development of a strategic supply chain. Assist in analysis of new trends in market & technology. Supports quote process to customer and works with Strategic Purchasing at early stage of Program definition. Process design changes requests. Provide reporting regarding supplier launch readiness to program management on a regular basis. Participate in simultaneous engineering meetings and forward status and open issues to purchasing team. Track the cost model for Purchased components and Materials as applicable.
