Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Lansing, Michigan. In this role, you will provide essential clerical and administrative support to ensure smooth operations within the educational sector. This position requires a proactive individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to delivering exceptional service.
Responsibilities:
Manage correspondence by creating, editing, and organizing documents, reports, and files.
Perform data entry tasks with accuracy and maintain organized records.
Handle inquiries from internal and external stakeholders, including requests for information.
Open, sort, and distribute incoming mail and other materials.
Assist with scheduling appointments and coordinating meetings.
Provide excellent customer service through effective listening and communication.
Utilize Microsoft Office Suite to complete tasks such as document creation and presentations.
Ensure confidentiality by adhering to organizational guidelines and policies.
Collaborate with staff, students, and supervisors to foster a productive work environment.
Problem-solve and make decisions independently to address challenges efficiently. Requirements - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to address inquiries effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities to interact with diverse audiences.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under minimal supervision.
Experience in data entry and managing information with precision.
Associate's degree in a business-related field or high school diploma with at least two years of relevant experience.
