Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in Muskegon, Michigan. In this Part-time contract position, you will play a vital role in managing financial records, ensuring accuracy, and supporting accounting operations. This role offers an opportunity to work collaboratively in an organized environment while maintaining the integrity of financial processes. This position is part-time and will be up to 20 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including timely payment and collection.
Conduct bank reconciliations to verify transactions and balances.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping records using QuickBooks Online.
Handle payroll processing to ensure employees are compensated accurately and on time.
Assist with month-end closing activities, preparing necessary reports and documentation.
Input and verify financial data entries to maintain the integrity of accounting systems.
Utilize Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting tasks.
Support the preparation of financial statements and other key accounting documentation.
Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with accounting standards and practices.
Requirements
Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a similar role.
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is essential.
Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes.
Experience with account reconciliations and bank reconciliations.
Familiarity with month-end closing procedures and financial reporting.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines effectively.
