The employee functions as a second-line administrative supervisor of nursing activities of subordinate licensed professional registered nurses. This position supervises the patient clinic, infection control, and occupational health departments for both the Adult and Child/Adolescent population at WRPH.
This position functions as the Infection Control coordinator and provides supervisory oversight of the clinic, occupational health, and Infection Control. This position participates in the design, implementation, and evaluation of the facility's Performance Improvement Program as it relates to infection control, clinical performance, and occupational health. Responsibilities include the promotion and monitoring of safe, high-quality, cost-effective health care, facilitation of interdisciplinary communication and the prevention of duplication between departments and services. Survey preparation and leadership in survey processes includes evaluation of standards compliance, and development of readiness plans and training materials. Provides direct supervision of assigned nursing personnel and clerical staff.

Required Education and Experience
Education
Completion of a degree in nursing or nursing school educational program accepted for registered nurse licensure by the Michigan Board of Nursing.
Experience
Two years of experience equivalent to a Registered Nurse 12 or a Registered Nurse Manager 12, or one year equivalent to a Registered Nurse 13 or a Registered Nurse Manager 13.
Additional Requirements and Information
Possession of a Michigan registered nurse license in good standing.
