Job Title: Mechanical Designer
Job Description
The Mechanical Designer will engage in designing defense projects, utilizing CREO software to create designs for various components such as armor, tanks, brackets, and wire harnesses. The role encompasses the design of all mechanical and electrical elements for ground vehicles, with additional responsibilities in Teamcenter PLM software. The current project involves reverse engineering a fully assembled vehicle, scanning parts to enhance existing designs.
Responsibilities
Design defense project components using CREO software.
Utilize Teamcenter PLM software for project data management.
Collaborate with on-site engineers to translate models into reality.
Engage in reverse engineering efforts to improve existing designs.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 5 years of CREO design experience in defense projects.
Proficient in Teamcenter PLM software.
Strong communication skills for collaborating with engineers.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Meet ITAR requirements ( US Citizen ).

Work Environment
The candidate will work in an office setting alongside other designers in a team-oriented environment. The team consists of nine designers, with plans to expand to 22 members. The culture emphasizes collaboration, support, and teamwork, ensuring an inclusive atmosphere where contractors and direct employees are treated equally. Average workweek is 45 hours, with occasional overtime. Travel is minimal, less than 5%, and typically local.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
