Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Pontiac, Michigan. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, processing high volumes of accounts payable transactions. While retail experience is a bonus, it is not mandatory for this role.
Responsibilities:
Process and manage a high volume of accounts payable transactions efficiently and accurately.
Perform account reconciliations to ensure consistency and accuracy in financial records.
Handle invoice coding and ensure proper allocation to appropriate accounts.
Conduct check runs and manage timely payments to vendors.
Input and maintain accurate data in accounting systems.
Ensure invoices are processed in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Utilize accounting software such as Oracle, SAP, and QuickBooks to manage financial data.
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth operations.
Maintain organized records of accounts payable activities for auditing purposes. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role.
Familiarity with high-volume transaction environments, preferably in retail.
Proficiency in accounting software such as Oracle, SAP, and QuickBooks.
Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
Ability to perform accurate account reconciliations.
Knowledge of coding invoices and managing check runs.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
