Qualified Stonemason Laborer
Position offered is for and experienced stone mason laborer with a minimum of 6 months expereience in stone mason labor who is able to work with and model company methods and procedures with up to 3 peers, build stone structures, such as piers, walls, and abutments. Lay walks, curbstones, or special types of masonry. Assisting with constructing all assigned project and properties. Mark reference points on construction materials, cut tile, stone, or other masonry materials, align masonry materials. Mix mortar or grout and pour or spread mortar or grout on marble slabs, stone, or foundation. Remove wedges, fill joints between stones, finish joints between stones, using a trowel, and smooth the mortar to an attractive finish, using a tuck pointer. Build paver and natural stone patios, retaining and sitting walls, fire pits and fireplaces, outdoor kitchen and grill islands. Decorative stone overlays - mud ste/mortar joint patios, and walkways. Thin and full veneer stone installatin and including demolition, excavation, trenching, grading, and drainage work. General stone mason labor using equipment for prepping and installation and including demolition, excavation, trenching, grading, and drainage work. General stone mason labor using equipment for prepping and installation of projects and properties. Loading and unloading of materials and equipment. Lifting required up to 50 pounds. Work performed on local area jobsites with employer provided transportation to and from the jobsites from a centralized pickup location in the specified area of employment.
6 months of experience required. On the job training. No education required.
$31.16/hr. $46.74/hr. O.T. Employer will offer 40 hours/wk. of work w/1/2 hour of lunch each workday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., M-F, Some O.T. and weekends may be available, but is not guaranteed.
5 Positions available for temporary, full-time, peak-load work.
Dates of Employment Offered: 07/19/2025 - 11/22/2025.
Jobsites Located in: Charlevoix, Emmet, Antrim, Grand Traverse, Cheboygan, Leelanau, Kalkaska, Otsego, Mackinac, and Benzie Counties. Employer provided transportation to and from area jobsites from a centralized pickup location in the specified area of employment.

The employer will use a single workweek for computing wages due. Pay will be bi-weekly.
Assistance securing lodging is available. Optional low-cost housing is available for relocating workers only at $265.00 bi-weekly.

New employee sign-on bonus ($300 after worked 300 hours) and and additional $300 after worked an additional 300 hours. End of season bonus based on company performance (may be available, but is not guaranteed), laundry equipment (washer/dryer provided), transportation, uniform allowances of $100.00 for work boots or rain gear.
The employer will make all deductions required by law from each paycheck.
Additional deductions include: If optional low-cost housing selected - $265.00 deducted bi-weekly.
If the worker completes 50% of the work contract perios, employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for workers reasonable cost of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except wher the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts.
H2B workers will be reimbursed by check for visa and related fees in the first workweek.
The employer will provide, without charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job duties.
The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least 3/4 of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.
