REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of Journeyman Licensed Electrician
- Experience with commercial/hospital grade electrical systems
- Must possess the ability to read, write, comprehend and follow general verbal instructions, as well as basic computer and technology skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Prefer 5 years of relevant job experience
SUMMARY
- Installation/maintenance of electrical circuits, panels, switches, outlets, and all facility electric equipment including, but not limited to, lighting systems, motor starter protection equipment, automatic doors, security system.
- Maintenance of generator, including coordination of required testing, and completion of associated documentation.
- Ensures that all regulatory requirements, codes, and standards are met in all work that is completed (will not be held responsible for work performed by outside contractors, however, must identify and bring forth any potential issues that are discovered).
- Completes necessary electrical safety inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance of medical and non-medical equipment using appropriate testing equipment; completes necessary associated documentation.
- Submits orders and estimates materials needed to complete assigned projects; interacts with vendors and suppliers to identify, locate and order supplies, parts and materials to complete job assignments.
- Follows established procedures in response to events of internal disaster, external disaster, power failure, fire, patient/resident evacuation and snow/ice removal.
- Adheres to all facility and department rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Communicates verbally and/or in writing with involved parties to provide status updates regarding the work being completed.
- Interaction and support of other Facilities employees as needed/indicated.
- Regular and punctual attendance is required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
