Aptiv seeks a Vehicle Systems Engineering Feature Owner in Troy, MI.
Duties: The Vehicle Systems Engineering Feature Owner manages the definition, development, implementation, validation, verification, and production readiness of each feature in APTIV’s Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS). ADAS are vehicle systems that use sensors and algorithms to help drivers with various tasks, aiming to improve safety and reduce the work load on the driver. All ADAS features include audio (sound) alerts, visual (text) alerts, and assisted controls, such as Automatic Emergency Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control, Assisted Driving, and Blind Spot Monitoring. Specifically, the Vehicle Systems Engineering Feature Owner will: Communicate and maintain feature/function level status with help of the Vehicle System Project Lead to show progress through the programs both internally at APTIV and to our customers. Define the Vehicle System Features/Functions and allocate the Vehicle System Elements to build up the Functional Architecture. Work with Vehicle Project Owners, Project Managers, Vehicle System Project Lead and other stakeholders to align strategy and execution. Refine Use Cases (End-to-end functions) to identify Vehicle System Features/Functions. Specify Vehicle System Features/Functions and be responsible for the completeness towards. Oversee stakeholder requirements and establish traceability, verification criteria, and responsibilities. Feature owners define feature requirements in a manner that ensures Aptiv meets feature functionality for our customer requirements and internal APTIV teams. Specify non-functional requirements, process and project execution requirements, requirements for vehicle test and validation, requirements for manufacturing. Collaborate with Software Engineers to review software implementation ensuring compliance with requirements. Define the performance criteria for on road performance during Validation. Responsible for compliance of requirements in a high-quality manner complying to automotive and software industry standards (L3 ASPICE). Coordinate and align vehicle system requirements with all affected competencies and ensures review of vehicle system requirements and clarification of resulting issues. Perform the analysis and correction of problems and errors during the vehicle system development process.
