The Business Acquisition Direct Mail Marketing Specialist will market to business owners to attract those who wish to sell their businesses. This position will also drive franchise candidate recruitment in the US and Canada leaning heavily on direct mail marketing as the tactic to drive growth. This role requires a self-starter who thrives on out-of-the-box thinking, high-energy execution, and hands-on tactics to generate leads for businesses that want to sell and individuals that want to become franchisees. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in database management, direct mail marketing, lead tracking and project management.
This position is located in Plymouth, Michigan and requires at least two days a week in the office.
Essential functions
Develop and Execute Direct Marketing Strategies: Create and implement marketing plans and campaigns designed to attract two main targets: 1) businesses that want to sell, and 2) individuals that wish to go into business in the Alliance Franchise Brands network. The primary tactic to be used is direct mail marketing. Other tactics will also be used.
Database Management: Build, analyze, consistently update and enhance prospect lists.
Lead Generation: Optimize lead generation processes, ensuring a steady and qualified flow of franchisee candidates and businesses that wish to sell. Collaborate with the wider marketing and development sales teams to align marketing efforts with sales goals.
Performance Analysis: Establish KPIs and closely track the performance of prospect lists, direct mail marketing and other campaigns. Use creativity and data-driven insights to optimize strategies, improve lead quality, and increase conversion rates.
Content Creation: Provide clear direction to the marketing content team for the creation of direct mail pieces and other collateral /creative utilizing expertise to develop the right creative, offer and call-to-action. Ensure that all marketing materials are consistent with our brand standards and comply with franchise sales legalities.
Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research to identify target demographics, market trends, and competitive landscape. Use insights to refine marketing strategies and identify opportunities for growth.
Digital Marketing: Oversee digital marketing campaigns, including SEO, SEM, social media, and email marketing for new franchisee lead generation and identification of businesses looking to sell themselves.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with marketing teams, sales teams, and other departments to ensure alignment on franchise growth objectives.
Vendor Management: Build and maintain relationships with external vendors, including printing and list providers. Negotiate contracts and oversee vendor performance to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Budget Management: Manage program marketing budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources while maximizing ROI.

Required education and experience
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, communications, or a related field with 5+ years of experience in direct mail marketing
Strong understanding of franchise business models and franchisee recruitment processes
Excellent database creation and management skills
Proficiency in CRM systems is very important
Digital marketing experience and analytical skills important
B2B experience important
Basic creative design and video editing skills helpful
Proficient in Microsoft Office
