Job Title: Production Supervisor
Job Description
The production supervisor will be responsible for overseeing 5-7 production operators in a milk manufacturing and distribution facility. You will monitor production rates, materials, and ensure that quality products are being manufactured while operators stay on task. The role involves using Microsoft Excel and Word for reporting and communicating with other plant managers and departments about production line results and irregularities. This position offers a great opportunity to establish yourself in a secure company with a history of success stretching over 85 years.
Responsibilities
Supervise and assist with teaching the Standard Operating Procedures/Conditions for cleaning, set-up, operating and monitoring production line equipment.
Perform cleanings during set down times and product changeovers.
Load, unload, and move stacks and items as assigned.
Sort, bundle, fill containers, or place them in assembled units.
Ensure all finished products are coded properly by marking or placing identifying labels on product loads.
Record stock movement in and out of work areas.
Troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating difficulties.
Monitor materials, products, and equipment at each step of the process and report irregularities.
Maintain communication with other departments, management, and employees.
Ensure clear, legible, and accurate paperwork completion.
Identify opportunities to improve processes using a continuous improvement mindset.
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and all required work safe practices.
Report any food safety and quality-related issues immediately.
Communicate exceptionally well with other shift supervisors, managers, and operators, especially in emergencies.
Essential Skills
3+ years of manufacturing supervision experience.
Experience in food/dairy production.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
Strong communication skills.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
