TARUS is a machine manufacturer of innovative CNC machines for various industries globally. We are currently looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our team. This role will focus on performing mechanical and electrical repairs on CNC machinery, ensuring equipment is running optimally at customer sites. This position will report to the Sterling Heights, MI office daily, however, there will be daily travel to customer locations. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in US without employer sponsorship. Must also possess a valid driver's license and a driving record that meets the requirements to be covered under the company's auto insurance policy are required.
Duties:
- Perform on-site troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of CNC machines, focusing on both mechanical and electrical components
- Troubleshoot and diagnose machine issues, ensuring accurate repairs and minimal downtime
- Conduct preventative maintenance on CNC systems
- Collaborate with the technical team to escalate and resolve complex issues when necessary
- Document service visits, repairs, and maintenance activities in detailed reports
- Travel to customer location as required, ensuring timely and effective service
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in field service or equipment repair, with focus on CNC machinery
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Strong technical knowledge of CNC machines
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical diagrams, schematics and manuals
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills to explain technical information clearly to customers
- Willingness to travel extensively for on-site repairs and support
- Valid driver's license
