Shipping Clerk
Adecco is hiring immediately for material handler jobs at a large client in Warren, MI . Weekly pay of $21.00 per hour and competitive benefits with options such as medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). We have openings on 1st shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM (first day starts at 9AM). Work with a recruiter to find the right fit for you!
As a Shipping Clerk , you will be responsible for a variety of shipping, receiving, and material handling duties to support production and shipping activities within the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate pallet jacks and lifting devices to load/unload shipments and move materials throughout the warehouse
Check, verify, and record information on shipping/receiving documents, including dimensional checks
Review shipping and receiving documents for accuracy, rejecting damaged items and noting shortages
Package finished products and prepare shipping documents in compliance with customer and company requirements
Order packaging materials and ship customer gauging, tooling, and fixtures
Perform cycle counts and assist with annual physical inventory
Coordinate shipments with freight forwarders and trucking companies, tracking deliveries as needed
Utilize freight forwarders' web-based systems
Provide backup support to outside vendor services as needed
Follow established packaging procedures and safety protocols at all times
Use Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and ERP systems to manage documentation and data entry
Qualifications:
Minimum two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing shipping and receiving environment
International shipping and receiving experience a plus
Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask effectively
Ability to interpret travelers and work instructions
Solid computer skills including Microsoft Office and ERP system knowledge
High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree in a business discipline is a plus
Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs and operate lifting devices
Work Environment & Requirements:
Standard 1st shift schedule: Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM
Looking for people who want to work OT as well.
