Job Summary:
The Line Cook/Cashier is responsible for preparing and cooking food items, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and handling customer transactions efficiently. This role requires multitasking skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Line Cook Duties:
- Food Preparation: Chop vegetables, butcher meat, and prepare sauces.
- Cooking: Grill, fry, and sauté food items according to recipes and standards.
- Station Setup: Stock and maintain kitchen stations with necessary supplies.
- Cleanliness: Ensure kitchen and cooking utensils are clean and stored properly.
- Compliance: Follow food safety standards and regulations.
Cashier Duties:
- Customer Service: Greet customers, take orders, and handle transactions.
- Accuracy: Ensure correct amounts of money are collected and change is given.
- Efficiency: Manage the cash register quickly and accurately during busy periods.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Multitasking: Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Attention to Detail: Ensure orders are accurate and food is prepared correctly.
- Teamwork: Work well with other kitchen staff and front-of-house employees.
- Communication: Basic written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience: Previous experience as a line cook or cashier is preferred.
Education and Experience:
