Phoenix Industrial Services has partnered with steel company located in Taylor, MI, who is looking to add a Slitter Operator to their team!
This is a full-time temporary to permanent position with benefits including health insurance and PTO. The starting pay is $18.00/hour and there are openings available on all three shifts (1st shift: 7:00AM-3:00PM, 2nd shift: 3:00PM-11:00PM, 3rd shift: 11:00PM-7:00AM)
Job Description:
In this role, a Slitter Operator will be responsible for operating slitting machines to cut materials to specified dimensions while ensuring quality standards are met.
Responsibilities:
• Operate slitting machines to cut materials according to specifications.
• Perform quality inspections on finished products to ensure adherence to standards.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers for accurate measurements.
• Document production data and report any discrepancies or issues promptly.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Slitter Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of precision measuring instruments and quality inspection processes.
• Familiarity with cranes and other industrial equipment is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Shift times:
- 1st shift: 7am – 3pm
- 2nd shift: 3pm – 11pm
- 3rd shift: 11pm – 7am
Pay rate: Starting at $18.00/hr
