REGISTERED NURSE - DIALYSIS UNIT - 40 HOURS - DAY SHIFT
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Sign-on Bonus: Up to $7,500
Schedule: Monday through Saturday, 4/10 hour shifts per week. Rotating evening and Sunday call shifts as outlined below.
Unit Description:
Henry Ford Health's [Legacy Ascension] Dialysis and pheresis team is growing! Our patient population consists of patients from our neighboring, inpatient Transplant unit and outpatient clientele; we are able to grow relationships with our patients throughout their lifelong dialysis journey. Our nurse to patient ratio is 1:1-2, and we are supported by a team of Dialysis Technicians and administrative support. We welcome nurses with a minimum of one year of prior Medical Surgical experience, and will ensure you are trained to be successful in this environment.
Our team supports dialysis and pheresis patients acrossseven different locations. This includes rotating travel to our different sites including Detroit (St John), Warren, Madison Heights, Select Specialty Grosse Pointe, Novi and Southfield locations. We are open Monday through Saturday with rotating call on Sundays (every 6-7 weeks). Our work schedule includes four 10-hour shifts per week with flexible morning start times between 6 AM and 9 AM based on the unit need. Our team shares rotating evening call, but guarantees the following day off of work. We are fortunate to be closed annually on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day. Come join our team!
Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Implement and monitor patient care plans.
Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR required professional licensure at time of hire. No additional preferences.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE REQUIRED:
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
At least 1 year of Med Surg experience preferred.
