POSITION OVERVIEW
The Maintenance Team Lead provides safety and technical leadership to achieve breakthrough production results in the assigned area. They are responsible for building technical capability in the Line Teams and Mechanics. They work to eliminate losses and focus on root cause elimination. They are responsible for eliminating maintenance and breakdown related losses, and accountable to improve the reliability of the system through ownership in defect handling, breakdown elimination and planning and scheduling processes. The position requires considerable interaction with plant floor personnel, leadership team, engineering, external support, and vendors. They use continuous improvement tools, leadership skills, and are responsible for fostering a team environment. The Maintenance Team Leader plays an integral role as a front-line leader in a manufacturing environment and will also have specific responsibilities as a champion for Zero Loss Culture.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Provide servant leadership and demonstrate commitment to department and plant objectives on a day-to-day basis
Management of maintenance crew including staffing, work brain, recognition, and corrective actions
Mentor, develop, and motivate the maintenance group to achieve required production results, build technical skills and enable collaboration across various functions
Ability to identify critical parts for the equipment using drawings, PID's and PFD', Maintenance data. Develop maintenance strategy for all such critical parts in Maximo
Proficiently use Maximo to create and update Job Plans, PMs, spare parts. Also create PR's and PO as needed to the assigned platforms
Ensure the maintenance team is adhering to General Mills Safety and Regulatory standards. Also, Ensure Maximo standards and usage are followed across the maintenance team
Identify recurring maintenance problems, recommend, and execute solutions. Also responsible for the development and maintenance of equipment failure history and life cycle cost
Manage daily scheduling and effective resource allocation/prioritization including labor, repair parts, and outside services for their line(s)
Ensure maintenance work orders including PM's, RM's and CMs are executed safely and with appropriate quality
Lead and Drive assigned tasks for the plant/Platform including Human Safety, Food Safety, and Improvement-plan focused initiatives
Manage R&M budget of the assigned platforms. Ideate and lead cost saving initiatives including but not limited to Inventory management, competitive bidding, internalizing work, cost effective parts, design changes, etc
Function as a technical resource in areas of maintenance and reliability and technical troubleshooting
Encourage and facilitate effective interchange of information between work groups, Cross-Functional resources, and other members of the plant and corporate teams
Demonstrate working knowledge of GMP standards, Food and Human Safety and OSHA standards in all aspects of job, particularly related to maintenance
Ability to quickly adapt and adjust to multiple demands, shifting work priorities, ambiguity, adversity, and changes
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma
3+ years of related experience
Good understanding of mechanical processes, both hands on and theory
Demonstrated understanding of maintenance skills including lubrication, welding, machining, basic electrical, and machine repair
Understanding of Maintenance and Reliability metrics and performance indicators
Demonstrated skills in servant leadership, problem solving, coaching, and training
Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal, written, electronic, listening and feedback communications including computer skills
Willingness to alternative shifts/hours as required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant certification
2+ years of prior experience as a Manufacturing Supervisor (Operations, Maintenance, or Logistics) or related experience
Demonstrated understanding of maintenance technologies and providing solutions to technical challenges
Demonstrated problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills, including sound analytical and business judgment ability

Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $68700.00 - $103200.00 / Annually. At General Mills we strive for each employee's pay at any point in their career to reflect their experiences performance and skills for their current role. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
