Responsible for leading the collaboration between the customer and Lear on all pre-production quality engineering activities, as well as for all customer APQP launch activities; provide program launch engineering support and collaborate with engineering to confirm and verify compliance with LPMP milestones; participate in all product development and launch activities, including program management system-specific actions, and the identification of customer quality engineering expectations, manufacturing, and ongoing production test support; provide engineering support to launching facilities in all aspects of plant and program readiness before and during pre-production build events; serve as the lead point-of-contact for the quality organization between engineering, program, and plant teams, maximizing quality and feasibility; monitor the internal Profile/LPMP management and drive and enforce adherence to LPMP deliverable standards; lead the development and implementation of the corporate Appearance Manual through pre-production build events; ensure design and manufacturing quality engineering issues are properly documented at manufacturing feasible levels and read across all applicable facilities; utilize Quality Management Systems (QMS), Root Cause Analysis, IATF 16949, VDA - FMEA, Process Auditing, APQP, PPAP, Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA), Statistical Process Control (SPC), Control Plan, PFMEA, and Continuous Improvement to perform duties; provide engineering support, as well as collaborate with internal quality teams supporting the same customers in different global regions, ensuring optimal customer satisfaction to secure future programs; document, monitor, and verify the effective implementation of Company’s Read Across of launch quality, warranty, and customer lessons learned across all applicable facilities; conduct post-launch lessons learned analysis and lead the analysis and identification of areas requiring improvement for future launches; develop, lead, and execute a roadmap to customer satisfaction across all applicable facilities, securing future programs; and provide specialized technical assistance to develop plant QE/APQP engineers in customer APQP requirements, ensuring that engineering is up-to-date with industry quality engineering processes and standards, maintaining a competitive edge in the market.

Salary: $103,022 per year;
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);
Experience: Two (2) years in the position above, as a Process Quality Coordinator, as a Product Engineer, as a Quality System Engineer, as a Supplier Quality Coordinator, as a Supplier Quality Engineer, or in a related occupation;
